Message I really need every body’s thoughts on this one because this will be the third time I pulled this motor and this shit is getting old real quick. I keep getting water mixed in with my oil after putting the motor back together. I upgraded my pistons to the weiseco and also bought the cometic head gaskets also. The block was bored out .40 over for a little extra mojoe and inspected for any cracks are leakage. Everything checked out good, I even had the heads checked for any cracks or leakage everything checked out good with those also. I think the heads and block is good but for some reason those gaskets don’t seem to be sealing up properly. I even bought that cometic spray that’s supposed to be applied for extra sealant security. Even after all this, I still have water mixing with my oil. I'm thinking it’s got to be my cometic gaskets not sealing properly. I think it could be a few problems with the cometic head gaskets. One possibility is that I may have bought the cometic head gaskets to thick. They come in different grades of thickness to compensate for any difference that you may have encountered from getting the heads shaved down. The second problem I think it may be is that I was misinformed on how to install the cometic head gasket and maybe I was suppose to put gasket maker on the cometic gasket to keep any water from seeping through. And I’m also thinking that one of the cometic head gaskets might have been damaged do to me leaving the gasket on the block when I sent it to be inspected. One of them came back to me with a slight dog eared crease on it. It wasn’t even sticking straight up It actually was just barley noticeable. But if you work on these cars like I do then you no that even the most mi-nute detail could give you big trouble on the "Z". A damaged headgasket is the most unlikely reason to me just because it was just barely visible. The head torque down on the gasket fine with out pinching the dog ear or anything of that nature. Just to cancel out the idea of me not torque the heads down to the proper specs I want you guys to know that I did and I did it in the right sequence also. I started the car up after all my hard work and it sounded good dam good, I would have never figured my motor to still be mixing oil with water if had not been for my radiator spitting up that gray pasty gue that you get when shit was gone so wrong. But I'm not a quitter I'm ready to break it back down again, each time I get faster and I get smarter. I love the fact that I don’t pay for labor but I hate things like this occurs. But I'm ready to get back on the road fellas so give me your input. Tell me if you think I’m right or if you think its something else give me your suggestions on all the stuff I should check. I love this car more than you guys know and I have sacrificed a lot for it help me resurrect the beast. Please, if you don’t know what the hell your talking bout or if you are inexperienced with serious motor work or if your just one of those guys that’s hype because your car has a couple moded but you’ve never turned a wrench in your fucking life please don’t say anything that might send me backwards. I'm starting on the car again tomorrow morning and my grandfather just died today. I love him very much he was more of a man than I could ever be. He use to always tell me I should sell this car because I was putting to much money into it. It wasn't suppose to be like this my daily driver just became a project some how. I wanna respect my grandfathers wishes but I can't. Its called D.D.D Driven Dedication and Determination.
